OptiMo Fitness Coaching: Tailored Online Personal Training for Muslims

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. If you have ever wished for a fitness coach who genuinely understands your deen, your boundaries and your way of life, you are in the right place. At Optimo Coach we offer online personal training for Muslims that is built around modesty, halal nutrition and respect for your faith, with dedicated support for hijabis and anyone who would rather train in a private, faith-aligned setting than a mixed public gym.

Our coaching is more than halal-labelled fitness. It is a practical, modesty-conscious approach that blends sound training science with genuine understanding of Islamic values, delivered online wherever you are, and in person across London for those who prefer it. Whether you are a busy professional, a parent, a student or a business owner, we will help you care for the body Allah has entrusted to you, insha’Allah, without compromising your privacy or your principles.

Fitness Coaching That Respects Your Faith

Many Muslims tell us the same thing: they want to get fitter, but the typical gym does not feel built for them. Mixed-gender floors, immodest attire, no thought for prayer times and nutrition advice that ignores halal requirements can all make consistency difficult. Our coaching removes those obstacles so you can focus fully on your health.

Because our coaching is delivered online, you train in the privacy and comfort of your own home, at times that fit around salah and family life. For Muslims in the UK, where the 2021 Census recorded around 3.9 million Muslims in England and Wales, this kind of faith-aware, private coaching has been a long time coming. Here is how we honour your values in practice.

What We OfferWhat It Means for You
Modesty-conscious trainingTrain fully covered, at home, away from mixed gym floors
Gender-aware coachingSisters can be supported by female coaches where preferred
Prayer-friendly schedulingSessions planned around salah and your daily routine
Halal nutrition plansMeal guidance that is halal and Ramadan-aware
Complete privacyNo public gym, no audience, just you and your coach

The Place of Health and Strength in Islam

Looking after your body is not separate from your deen; it is part of it. Our faith encourages moderation, strength and care for the body as a trust from Allah. This is not a modern reinterpretation, it runs right through the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Moderation and balance in the Qur’an

Allah instructs us toward balance in what we consume. In Surah al-A’raf, He says: “Eat and drink, but be not excessive. Indeed, He likes not those who commit excess” (Qur’an 7:31). This single verse captures a principle that modern nutrition only confirms: balance, not extremes, is the path to lasting health.

We are also reminded not to neglect or harm ourselves. In Surah al-Baqarah, Allah says: “And do not throw yourselves into destruction with your own hands, and do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good” (Qur’an 2:195). Caring for your health through movement and good food is part of avoiding harm and doing good to the self.

Strength in the Sunnah

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, though there is good in both” (Sahih Muslim 2664, narrated by Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him). Strength here is physical, mental and spiritual, and all three are worth striving for.

He (peace be upon him) also reminded us: “Your body has a right over you” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5199). Rest, nourishment and exercise are among the rights our bodies hold over us, an amanah we are answerable for.

Physical activity was part of the Prophet’s own life and household. It is authentically narrated that Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said the Prophet (peace be upon him) raced her on foot, and later, after she had gained some weight, raced her again, telling her: “This is for that” (Sunan Abi Dawud 2578). For our sisters in particular, this is a beautiful reminder that staying active is part of the Sunnah, not against it.

For Muslim Sisters and Hijabis

For many Muslim women, modesty and privacy are the biggest barriers to getting started, not motivation. Training online at home solves that completely. You can work out fully covered, in your own space, with a programme designed around your goals, whether that is fat loss, toning, strength or building shape. Where preferred, sisters can be supported by a female coach.

Lower-body and glute strength work is one of the most popular goals among the women we coach, and it is ideally suited to private, at-home training. Explore our glute and booty building coaching, the 3-month glute transformation and our glute building programme in London, plus the nutrition guide for growing your glutes.

We also coach sisters toward fat loss, strength, toning and lean muscle and confidence, with dedicated programmes for beginners, busy women and women who dislike the gym. See our coaching for women for more.

For Muslim Brothers

Brothers, whether your aim is to build muscle, lose weight or simply become the strong believer described in the Sunnah, our coaching gives you a clear, structured plan that fits around work, family and the masjid. Many of our male clients are busy professionals who value training privately and efficiently rather than spending hours in a commercial gym. See our coaching for men, the skinny to muscle programme and our fat to fit plan. We also support CEOs, entrepreneurs and expats abroad.

Halal Nutrition and Ramadan-Friendly Plans

Good results come from training and nutrition working together, so we build halal meal plans around your goals, tastes and routine. Every plan keeps your food halal and can flex around fasting, whether that is Ramadan or your regular Sunnah fasts on Mondays and Thursdays. During Ramadan we adjust training volume and timing around suhoor and iftar so you protect your energy and your ibadah while staying consistent.

For more on how nutrition is structured and priced, see our meal plan cost and our meal prep guidance.

How Much Does Muslim-Friendly Personal Training Cost?

Faith-aware personal training is priced much like any quality coaching, with online options typically more affordable than in-person sessions because there is no gym rent or travel involved. As a guide, dedicated personal training for Muslims generally ranges from around £40 to £80 per session, or roughly £300 to £700 a month for a full package, while online coaching commonly falls between £50 and £200 a month depending on the level of support.

OptionTypical CostBest For
Online coaching£50–£200 per monthPrivate, flexible, best value
In-person sessions£40–£80 per sessionHands-on guidance at home or a private space
Full monthly package£300–£700 per monthComplete training, nutrition and accountability

For a full breakdown, see our cost guides for the 4-week, 8-week and 12-week transformations, the main personal training cost page, at-home training cost, at-home cost in London and the cost of a glute transformation programme.

Does Online Coaching Actually Work?

Yes, and the evidence is strong. Digital coaching is now firmly mainstream: in the American College of Sports Medicine’s 2026 Worldwide Fitness Trends survey of 2,000 professionals, wearable technology ranked the number one global trend, with mobile exercise apps in the top five. The tools that make remote coaching effective are in almost everyone’s pocket.

What truly drives results, though, is consistency, and that is where a coach matters. The most recent Health Survey for England, published in January 2026, found around 30 per cent of adults living with obesity and roughly 66 per cent overweight or obese, the highest on record, while Sport England reports nearly one in four adults is inactive. Caring for your health is both a worldly benefit and, with the right niyyah, an act of gratitude for the body Allah has given you.

How much should you be moving?

The NHS recommends adults aged 19 to 64 aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate activity each week, or 75 minutes of vigorous activity, plus muscle-strengthening work on two or more days. A good coach helps you reach those targets steadily and sustainably, insha’Allah, rather than in short-lived bursts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can sisters be coached by a female trainer?

Where preferred, yes. We understand that many sisters feel most comfortable with a female coach, and we will accommodate this so you can train with full confidence and modesty.

Can I train while fasting in Ramadan?

Absolutely. We adjust your training volume and timing around suhoor and iftar, keeping sessions sensible so you maintain your energy and your ibadah throughout the blessed month, insha’Allah.

Will my plan respect prayer times?

Yes. Your schedule is built around salah and your daily routine, never the other way round, which is one of the real advantages of training at home.

Is the nutrition guidance halal?

Always. Every meal plan keeps your food halal and can be tailored to your preferences, culture and any specific dietary needs.

Do I need a gym or equipment?

Not necessarily. We can design effective programmes for a home setup with minimal kit, or for a gym if you have access. Your plan is built around what you have.

What is a Muslim

What is a Muslim?

Followers of Islam, often referred to as Muslims, make up a significant proportion of the global population. Their faith, known as the Islamic religion, is deeply rooted in their day-to-day lives and influences many aspects of their culture and traditions. For example, modesty is highly valued in the Muslim community, and this principle is reflected in the way many Muslim women dress. Hijabis, referring to women who wear the hijab, embody this aspect of modesty, covering their hair as a visible symbol of their Muslim identity.

Keeping healthy is also an important part of the Islamic faith. In the Muslim culture, maintaining good health is considered a form of worship, as it enables individuals to fulfil their religious duties more effectively. This belief extends to all aspects of health, including physical fitness. Consequently, many Muslims strive to incorporate regular exercise into their daily routines, while ensuring that their activities align with their Islamic traditions and practices. For instance, female Muslims might opt for fitness classes specifically designed for women, or choose to exercise at home, to maintain their modesty while working out. Whether it's through diet, exercise, or mental wellbeing, the importance of health in the Muslim population cannot be underestimated.

The Value of Virtual Fitness Coaching

While the rates for web-based fitness guidance for Muslims can differ, it’s important to understand the value behind the investment in online fitness coaching. Unlike traditional face-to-face training, online personal training often comes at a lower price point, making it a more affordable option for many. This is due to the flexibility and scalability of online platforms, which allow trainers to serve more clients without the need for a physical location or travel time.

Average Cost of Online Personal Training

Based on industry standards, the average cost of remote workout programs for Muslim individuals typically falls within the range of £50 to £200 per month. To give you an idea of what this translates to in other currencies, that’s approximately $70 to $275 USD, €60 to €235 Euro, or 260 to 1,000 UAE Dirham. Of course, these are rough estimates and actual prices may vary.

Importance of Exercise and Fitness in Islam

Importance of Exercise and Fitness in Islam

The Islamic faith has always emphasised the importance of maintaining good health and fitness. As Muslims, we are taught to take care of our bodies as they are gifts from Allah (God). This article explores why it is Sunnah (the way of the Prophet Muhammad) and recommended to exercise and stay fit from an Islamic perspective. It uses quotes from the Quran and Sunnah to explain why people should prioritise their physical health and well-being.

Health and Fitness in the Light of the Quran

The Holy Quran, the sacred text of Islam, contains many verses that highlight the significance of health and well-being. One such verse is:

"And [you should] eat and drink but not be excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess." (Quran 7:31)

This verse underlines the importance of moderation in all aspects of life, including eating and exercising. It advises against excess, which can lead to harm. In other words, it's a call to balance – a balance between rest and activity, consumption and moderation, work and leisure.

Another Quranic verse that encourages maintaining good health is:

"And spend in the way of Allah and do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction. And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good." (Quran 2:195)

Here, the Quran warns against self-destruction, which can be interpreted as harming one's health through neglect or unhealthy habits. It encourages believers to do good, which includes taking care of their health.

Physical Health in the Sunnah

The Sunnah, or practices of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), also emphasise the importance of physical fitness. Anas bin Malik reported that the Prophet said:

"A strong believer is better and is more lovable to Allah than a weak believer" (Sahih Muslim 2664)

In this Hadith, the Prophet encourages Muslims to strive for physical strength, as it makes one a better servant of Allah. The 'strength' here is not limited to physical power but also includes mental and spiritual resilience.

The Prophet Muhammad himself led an active lifestyle. He engaged in physical activities like walking, horse riding, and even wrestling. His life is a practical demonstration of how Muslims should maintain their physical health.

The Concept of Amanah (Trust) and the Body

In Islam, our bodies are considered an Amanah (trust) from Allah. We are responsible for maintaining and taking care of this trust. The Prophet Muhammad said:

"Your body has a right over you" (Sahih Bukhari 5199)

This Hadith is a clear call for Muslims to take care of their bodies. It reminds us that our bodies have rights over us, and we must fulfil these rights by providing proper nourishment, rest, and exercise.

Balancing Deen and Fitness

In conclusion, both the Quran and Sunnah strongly advocate for maintaining good health and fitness. It's clear that Islam encourages a balanced lifestyle, where physical health is as important as spiritual well-being. As Muslims, it's our responsibility to take care of our bodies, treat them with respect, and ensure they're fit and healthy. By doing so, we're not only adhering to the teachings of our faith, but we're also preparing ourselves to better serve Allah and our community.

Remember, being healthy and fit isn't just about looking good or feeling good – it's about fulfilling our duties as Muslims. So let's make a commitment today to prioritise our health and fitness, for the sake of Allah and for our own well-being.
